Reasonable concern : If you truly cannot bend the knee or bear weight then the injury is sufficient to be concerned. Whether or not you need immediate attention would be impossible to say based on limited information. Often one can elevate, ice and rest for 48-72 hrs to see if it improves. One reason to seek medical attention would be if there was an open wound associated with the injury.

Yes, but...: Of course you should be concerned - you had an injury that has led to a swollen, painful knee and a leg you can't walk on - that's not normal. However, there is also no need to run to ER either. Treat it overnight with elevation, ice packs and take some Ibuprofen for pain and swelling. If symptoms still as bad in 24-48 hours, then see doctor for evaluation and possible x-rays.
