It depends: If your Vitamin D level is very low (30 or less), taking Vitamin D supplements would be a good idea at least temporarily. You can also be out in the sun, but it will take longer to build up to healthy Vitamin D levels that way -- and presumably this isn't sustainable in your usual lifestyle or your level wouldn't be low in the first place. Your doctor who knows you can give the best advice.
