Tinnitus: Tinnitus or what many call "ringing in the ear" is caused by increased synchronous electrical activity in the auditory nervous system of the central nervous system (brain). Therefore, it is possible that the sizzling sound in back of your head is a form of tinnitus. See an ENT doctor for appropriate diagnosis.
