A member asked:

Is human t-lymphotropic virus 1associated with non-hodjkin lymphoma or not?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometimes...: The overwhelming majority of cases of adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma have evidence of HTLV-1 infection. Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma is also potentially linked to this virus. On the flip-side, only 1-5% of people with HTLV-1 will develop cancer. Hope this helps!
