Time is generally : needed to allow muscular injuries to heal whether they be contusions &/or pulls. Local modalities like heat &/or ice can help as can activity modification to avoid restraining the muscles as they heal. Use of medication can help with symptoms like cyclobenzoprine, Tylenol (acetaminophen) & an OTC NSAID if no reasons not to medically. Physical therapy may also be of help if other possible injuries are ruled out
