I have a burning sensation on the side of my neck that runs into my face. it only burns when i touch the area and i get stabbing/burning pains randomly or with certain movements. i don't have muscle pain or neck stiffness.

Burning : That is possibility the C2/C3 (upper neck nerves) are affected. When these nerves are inflamed they can cause these symptoms. I wonder if you have the start of shingles. See a doctor
