what to do if i cut my thumb open with safety scissors, do i need stitches?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Cindy Williams
38 years experience Pediatrics
Laceration: If a cut doesn't stop bleeding within a 1/2 hr, or so, it may need stitches. A tetanus shot, too, if you haven't had one in 10yrs.
