What do you advise if i'm taking a liquid antibiotic (amoxicillin with clauvulante) and it says 600mg/42.9mg per 5 ml. am i taking 600mg or is it 42.9 mg?

Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate): The 600mg is referring to the Amoxicillin component and the 42.9mg is referring to the clavulanate.
