Can you explain to me why so many people are against diet pills?

Dr. Steven Watry answered

Addictive: Many diet pills are amphetamines, similar to 'speed' as used in the 1970's and 1980's. These increase metabolism, but are addicting and dangerous. Also, without life style changes, the weight will return when the pills are stopped
