A member asked:

I am constipated yet am having to poop twice a day, what gives?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Drink more water: Technically, constipation means having a bowel movement less frequently than once every 5 days without any laxatives, so you really aren't constipated. I think you may mean your stools are somewhat hard and/or dry. Or sometimes the stool is like peanut butter consistency and difficult to push out. Both these can be improved by adding more water and fiber like psyllium every day.
