Hantavirus.: Well, there are only 20 to 40 cases of Hantavirus reported annually to the CDC for all of the US. Education is a preventive factor. It is diagnosed via antibodies. Immunotherapy (with use of human antibodies) & use of Ribavirin are being looked at as treatments. Although there is no vaccine now, plasmid DNA approaches are being studied.
