Asthma: These are 2 very different things. If your child has had wheezing, and now starts with vomiting; it could be pneumonia. If your child is just vomiting, and his/her asthma is fine, then it could be a number of other things. Either way, call your doctor, and see if they think he/she needs to be seen.

May have GERD.: Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD)is a co-morbid condition of asthma. GERD can actually cause or worsen asthma. A trial of an acid blocker may be warranted. Additionally, some of the asthma meds (specifically albuterol) can cause vomiting. Finally, the asthma may not be fully controlled. A child with well-controlled asthma should not cough with any frequency.
