Is PCN allergy true?: Many people (9 out of 10) in one study with "penicillin allergy" actually tolerate PCN without any problem. I would see an allergist and have them evaluate.. You can also get skin testing and/or a graded oral challenge to prove or disprove your allergy. If you had a vague rash when you were a child chances are you may not really be allergic. If you are truly allergic ask the Navy if you can serve

I just reviewed: enlisted / commission physical standards and did not note medication allergies as a disqualifying condition. Good luck.
