Are you able? yes: Should you is another story. I tell my patients for whom I prescribe opioids that they should NOT drink on the medication. The combination can cause unpredictable interactions. It is particularly important not to drive when you are prescribed opiates, at least until you know how they effect you, and this goes double when alcohol is combined. I wonder if alcohol is a problem for you. Avoid it.
