Ear wax & vertigo: Greetings. Yes an excess of ear wax in your ear canal can cause dizziness or vertigo. Most times this occurs from the wax putting pressure to the eardrum. This causes a mobilization of the middle ear bones that in turn stimulates the inner ear balance center. Wax removal may reverse these symptoms.
