Had a 4 hour battle with severe vertigo last night eneded up in the er. they did ct scan it came back normal today i went to my pcp and they found that i had a ear wax blockage in my right ear. they removed it and said that was probably what caused i?

BPPV?: Another possibility -- perhaps even more likely than earwax -- is the condition called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). (Sometimes "proxysmal" isn't mentioned, i.e. BPV and BPPV are the same thing.) This would be the best bet if the same problem occurs again, especailly if there are 3 or more episodes. Google it for more information.
