Please tell me can dental bands be used to close small gaps in teeth?

DANGER!!!: In my opinion, they should not even be sold to the public. They can only do harm and not sustain teeth in their correct position even if the teeth are moved together by them. I would no more use this product to close teeth gaps than crazy glue to attach natural hair for longer eyelashes.
