Once you: develop symptomatic gallstones, there is really no medication that can make them go away. So the best and probably only option is surgical cholecystectomy. If you are an unacceptable risk of surgery, there is a medication called Actigall, (ursodiol) but it does not work very well and has significant side effects. Consult with a surgeon for specific recommendation.
