A member asked:

I got nexplanon out and immediately took tri-sprintec the same day. it's been a week and two days, and i had sex today. am i protected? urgent!!!!

Yes most likely: Even though it is often recommended to use condoms or delay coitus during the first month of oral contraceptive pills, it usually takes about 7 days for oral contraceptive pills to block ovulation and reduce your risks of pregnancy. So by day 9, you were likely protected. If your Nexplanon was still effectively working at the time of its removal, your risks of pregnancy are probably even lower.
