A member asked:

When you cut nerve endings that are on your skin in the dermis, do they grow back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: When cutaneous nerves in the skin are severed, they almost always regrow; this can be relatively swift or take months. An early sign of regrowth is tingling or itching as the nerve ends report back through the damaged area and the damaged area does its best to pass along the message.
