Should not affect it: Starting your period should not make you have thinner hair. You might want to check your thyroid function. An underactive or overactive thyroid can thin your hair. Also, some nutrient deficiencies can do the same. Make sure you are eating a healthy diet high in vegetables and fruit, low in sugar for the best hair growth.
