Pcos treatments: There are a number of treatments geared towards particular elements of PCOS. For instance, metformin is a first line treatment for insulin resistance/weight gain and even amenorrhea. Other meds such as spironolactone for facial hair are effective as well. Regardless, all meds have potential adverse effects, and should be overseen by your doc to ensure safety while optimizing desired outcomes.

See G.Y.N. doctor: There are other treatment /medicines instead of oral contraceptives. You may get injection which lasts for 3 months . Your doctor can suggest you alternative treatment . that may solve your problem

PCOS: Usual treatment is with BCP. This is a long term problem for women, so consult a reproductive endocrinologist . There are many potential causes for PCOS, and there also may be oral contraceptives that you can try (don't know the reason you "can't take" BCP's).

Consult GYN: How was PCOS diagnosed? Hormone test and Ultrasound? If you have high Androgen you can take Spironolactone . Why can't you take OCP? there are different types are available including patch. It is NOT normal to NOT have period for one year.There may be other reasons for not having period like Anorexia, Thyroid problem, Anemia etc.
