Seek counseling: If you are already taking escitalopram and melatonin, then an MD has evaluated you for anxiety and/or depression somewhere along the way. If you are still feeling unhappy, scared and impulsive, you owe it to yourself to (1) have your meds reassessed, preferably by a psychiatrist; and (2) consult a therapist (MD, PhD, PsyD, LCSW, or LCPC) to address underlying issues and help you to change behavior
