A member asked:

If you sit like a lady, with your legs crossed. can it give you dvt or is it an old wives tale?

Crossed legs: In the right situation, the crossed legs could predispose to DVT. The position is far more common than DVT so it isn't something most people need to be anxious about. Your Dr. Can advise if you are at increased risk.

Dvt: Yes it is an old wives tail, and crossing of the legs has no bearing and causing a deep vein thrombosis or in fact varicose veins.
