Gauge?: Usually it is a 16 gauge, sterile, single-use needle. It's just a big pinch going in, then usually you do not feel anything while the blood is being collected. We need donors!

16 gauge needle: You will feel a pinch or burn as it goes in and then no pain while it is in. We do need blood donors.
