I donated blood 1 wk ago. ive been experiencing intense pain up the inside of my bicep when i straighten or twist my arm. the phlebotomist said i had very thin veins so she kept readjusting the needle. why is this happening? should i see a doctor?

Thank you!: Thank you for donating blood! You are filling such a great need right now. The pain you are experiencing could be due to a healing nerve that lies near the vein. If there is any stretching or needle prick of the nerve it would take several weeks to heal. See a doctor is you experience numbness or weakness in that arm.
