Specializes in Pediatrics

Polio vaccines: Both stop polio. Salk vaccine is made of killed virus. No one can get sick from it but it does not confer immunity to the gut. It is given by injection. Sabin is a live vaccine. There is a one in a million chance of getting polio from the vaccine. No needle, just swallow. Those around you are will be infected by the virus and also get protected. The gut protected. Better but rare complication
