A member asked:

What number of carbs should a 13 year old eat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't count: A normal healthy teenager without diabetes should not be counting carbs. You should be eating a well-rounded diet that includes proteins, good fats and carbs. Your only restriction on carbs is avoidance of simple sugar -your carbs should be complex carbohydrates such as fruit, pasta, whole grains, rice. If you are diabetic, then you need to talk individually with doc and dietician about # of carbs
