Can you tell me how the nephrotic syndrome cause (exudative) ascites?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Protein loss: In nephrotic syndrome there is a loss of protein in your urine. This reduces the oncotic pressure in your blood vessels and fluid leaks out into the soft tissues and sometimes the peritoneal cavity.
