When will my baby learn to walk?

12 to 15 months: Children want to check out their world starting around 6 months, and by 9 months are able to crawl around. By 12 months, that just doesn't cut it, and they pull up on objects and cruise. We expect babies to walk between 12 and 15 months, though of course some will walk by 9 or 10 months, and some won't by 15 mo. A lot depends on the drive and gross development of the child.

11-13 months: Babies usually start walking by 11-13 months. At each regular check-up, the doctor will look at the motor skills gained by baby, to be sure the baby is learning to sit, crawl, stand, and eventually walk. Parents can ask the doctor questions, if they are worried about any motor skills.

12-15 months: Most infants start to cruise between 10-12 months and walk independantly between 12 and 15 months.
