What number of ambien (zolpidem) should i take?

Ambien (zolpidem) -- how many?: Ambien (zolpidem) (or zolpodem) comes in 5mg and 10mg tablet strengths. Ambien (zolpidem) cr (controlled release) is available in 6.25mg and 12.5 mg tablet strengths. Most commonly, Pts are rx'ed one tab of whichever strength their doc thinks best, right before bedtime. However, it's most important that you follow the instructions your doc gave about how, exactly, to take your ambien (zolpidem). If unsure, give a call :)

Yes: In my practice, with my patients, I have not had anyone related any complaints regarding taking milk with Ambien (zolpidem) in the many years I have prescribed the sleeping pill. If you have any specific concerns, please ask the clinician who is prescribing you the ambien (zolpidem).

A 32-year-old member asked:
Could i take an Ambien (zolpidem) with a unisom?

Dr. Mark Reynoldsanswered

Insomnia: Doxylamine (ingredient in unisom) is an antihistamine. The combination could result in excessive sedation. I would guess you are asking because the Ambien (zolpidem) alone is not fully effective? Please let your physician know of your concerns and they can advise you on the appropriate course of action to improve your sleep.

Can you take Ambien (zolpidem) and fiorinal with cosine?

Ambien (zolpidem): I believe you're referring to fiorinal with codeine. It is not a good idea to mix narcotics and sleeping medication, such as Codeine and ambien (zolpidem). This could result in the sedation and possible respiratory depression. Additionally both drugs are metabolized by the liver and could cause liver damage. Make sure that your prescribing doctor knows that you're taking both medications and discuss it thoroughly with your prescribing physician.
