Four weeks: Brintellix was studied in close to 5000 people. It could take six weeks to work but some people improved in two weeks. It has few side effects so many doctors increase the dosage quickly. In non geriatric the dosage is 10-20.

Weeks: Brintellix takes few days-weeks for anyone to feel the effect. In one study, some people noted improvement as early as 2 weeks but the full effect was noticed after taking the same dose at 4 weeks (sometimes later).
