Maturity > Age.: There is no strict age cut off for hair transplant surgery. e.g., I've treated many children who have suffered scalp or brow scars or other injuries that needed repair via hair transplant surgery. However, hereditary hair loss patients must demonstrate enough maturity to understand the need for ongoing medical therapy to prevent the further progression of the condition in the nontransplanted hair.
