Nitrous Oxide : is an anesthetic gas best known for its use in dentistry as a short-term analgesia and anxiolysis. As a mild analgesic, it has an action similar to morphine as it may act on opiate receptors and get you high. Outside of a medical setting, nitrous oxide can be dangerous. With regards to sharpies and paint the mechanism is idiopathic.
