It is: a semi-invasive treatment for coronary artery narrowings of certain kinds and locations..A baloon dilates the artery and a stent (small tube) keeps it open. Hope this helps BTW the procedure is a lot more cmplex but will be explained in detail to patients prior to it being done!!!
