Brain development: Brain tissue continues to grow through late adolescence. We really can't change the actual brain. Teachers, and any care giver can, however, help the child reach maximum potential, with the brain they were born with.

Read, play, talk. : Promote development by recognizing what skills child has mastered & what the child is ready to do next. Customize the AAP's Healthy Children app or website for age-appropriate suggestions. Avoid TV/video viewing under age 2; limit screen time to 2 hours/day over 2. Dr. W is right, the brain you get is the brain you get, but you can maximize strengths & minimize weaknesses in 'most any child.
