What could be the cause of vaginal itching and irritation but doesn't have discharge ?

Yeast infection: Vaginal itch and irritation is usually 'yeast infection' . An std such as trichomonas is also possible so an exam is recommended. If a woman is post-menopause then symptoms may be related to low estrogen causing irritation with no discharge (atrophic vaginits).
