Yeast infection: Vaginal itch and irritation is usually 'yeast infection' . An std such as trichomonas is also possible so an exam is recommended. If a woman is post-menopause then symptoms may be related to low estrogen causing irritation with no discharge (atrophic vaginits).

Several things: Yeast infections are the most common cause of vaginal itching. Yeast medications are available over the counter. Trichomoniasis and herpes are two stds which can cause itching and pain in the vagina. Schedule a visit to help narrow down the problem if you do not improve with over the counter yeast cream

Source ID needed: A possible infection and type is needed to give you a healing answer. A MD can identify if the itching is a vaginal infection or simply an external vulvar "something else". A MD visit can make that distinction.
