A member asked:

What amount of blood do they take to test for mono?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Small amount: The rapid screening tests performed in many offices only requires a tiny amount of blood obtained by a fingerstick. Testing for specific antibodies will require a venipuncture (needle in the arm) and will require 1 or 2 tubes of blood.
