A member asked:

Can damage to the fovea of the eye interfere with certain abilities?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Of course: If the damage is sufficient to lower the vision than activities requiring fine detailed vision, stereovision and some colored vision can be affected. The extent of dysfunction will depend upon the size of the fovea damage and the depth of the insult to the fovea.
