Because temporal arteries rarely occurs in individuals under age 40, any new onset headache or TMJ disorder in a patient over the age of 50 warrants investigation into the presence of this disease. You are only 20, and temporal arteries is unlikely your diagnosis. See an orofacial pain specialist for evaluation of TMJ and treatment.
