ENT: From your description, I now suspect the origin of your pain is not your tooth. These things can be very difficult to isolate. Dentist and ENT physicians often consult with each other to rule out possible sources of infection in each others fields.

Dentist/ENT problem: When lower back teeth are infected due to decay, you have a pain in that tooth, but that pain also can radiate to the ear on same side.Referred pain from nerves of thge teeth & ear through common ganglion.Once the bad tooth is treated either by root canal or is extracted & infection is eliminated, the pain may go away.If the pain persists, consult the ear doctor.TMD may also be a cause.
