At least one week: At least 1 week; but most STDs are combined infections, and should be treated with combination therapy (eg a shot and some pills). Also, your partner(s) need to be treated so that you aren't all just passing it back and forth!

7 days: After treatment of gonorrhea (GC) with a single shot, one should wait a minimum of 7 days before resuming sexual contact. Treatment of any recent sexual partners and use of a condom also recommended for STD protection and help prevent recurrent GC re-infection.
