Is amlodipine a diuretic and a hearth medicine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Amlodipine: Amlodipine is a blood pressure medicine, it is a calcium channel blocker and acts to lower blood pressure by relaxing smooth muscle to lower pressure. It is not a diuretic and one of the side effects is that it can cause lower extremity edema.
