Hemorrhoids: Hemorrhoids are better prevented than treated, but do often occur with pregnancy or from constipation. Avoid constipation and bearing down or straining to pass a bowel movement. Eat plenty of fiber, stay hydrated, support your magnesium, and make sure your thyroid function is normal in order to prevent or treat constipation. Sometimes hemorrhoids have to be treated surgically.
