Can hot showers and bathes help with small fiber neuropathy pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A bit perhaps: But the pain is "nerve mediated", and the warmth, or in some cases, coldness, will only relieve symptoms for a brief time. Far better to try a Nerve Pain suppressant such as gabapentin, Lyrica, Cymbalta, or Savella (milnacipran). (may also try Horizant and Gralise). Local transdermal pain cremes with Ketamine, and additional chemicals, may also work. Long-term, ?MetanX twice daily.
