can reiki cure cancer?

2 doctor answers5 doctors weighed in
Dr. Myron Arlen
Surgical Oncology 64 years experience
No: Reiki is a form of relaxation that reduces stress. Obviously reducing adrenal cortisol output allows the immune system to be optimized but this in of itself cant cure cancer. The immune system is important however for it to help in curing cancer an immunogenic protein in the form of a vaccine has to be delivered to the patient.
