Don't Rx a lab value: Elevated SGOT / SGPT is a warning of underlying illness. You'll get the values repeated off alcohol and medications. If still high, you'll get checked for hepatitis B and C, Wilson's, hemochromatosis, autoimmune hepatitis and maybe a few others. These are deadly if missed but can be managed. If you don't have any of these, your best help is physical exercise rather than pills.
