A member asked:

My wife recently had a baby, and now she is bleeding from the nose more often. any relationship?

Yes: I had a young patient who would lose 10# body weight from vomiting. On recovery, she would have a voracious appetite, recover the lost weight and have recurrent nose bleeds. The capillaries in the nose are energy dependent and break down easily if energy starved. Make sure that she is not taking empty calories and use a good multivitamin.
