My nephew will turn 2 next month, his nose has been recently bleeding. why could this be?

Nosebleeds in. 2 y/o: Assuming that there are no systemic issues (check with your pediatrician) it can be nose picking at night with long nails . Trim them closely or if all else fails put on mittens at night and use Bacitracin ointment. You can confirm this by seeing an ent.
