Had mammo in apr '14. have lump. core biopsy came back normal. 5-21-14 radiologist saw shadowing want the lump taken out. whats shadowing indicates?

Ultrasound finding: I'm assuming you are referring to a finding on an ultrasound? "Shadowing" is an US term that describes a feature of masses seen on ultrasound. It is one of several features that are evaluated on the US. Shadowing is generally a more suspicious finding, but by itself it does not mean there is cancer, nor does it mean cancer is even likely.
